Stephanie’s Obituary
Stephanie Ann McIntyre (nee Caines), a devoted mom and step-mom, grandmother, aunt and loving wife to Stephen McIntyre died peacefully on November 16, 2021 at the age of 45 at Carbonear Hospital palliative unit in Carbonear, Newfoundland following a battle with cancer.
Stephanie is predeceased by her mother, Mona Caines (nee Porter), sister, Andrea Caines, and nephew, Jared Lee Tulk.
Stephanie is survived by her husband, Stephen McIntyre; children, Selina, Erica, Jenna and Levi; step-children, Daniel McIntyre (wife Jessica), Kurtis McIntyre (wife Candace), Krystal Lawlor (nee McIntyre [husband Nick]); father, Rodger Caines and step-mother, Enid Tilley; sister Dana Tulk (nee Caines); four beautiful grandchildren, Ryely McIntye, Annika McIntyre, Noah and Ivy Lawlor; two nephews, Graham and Nathan Tulk; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Stephanie was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland on October 3, 1976 to Rodger and Mona Caines. She was lovingly raised in her family home with her two sisters in Manuals, Newfoundland. As she grew, her love for God became clear as she was involved in many areas of the Anglican church in Conception Bay South. In 2004, she met her future husband Stephen and they married on Nov 1, 2007. As she continued to study the Bible she was convicted to be baptized in the Lord and joined the Conception Bay South Seventh-day Adventist Church. Stephanie always had a heart for children and was blessed with four amazing children who were dedicated to the Lord. She considered her children a gift from God and dedicated her life in raising her children in the admonition of the Lord.
The family moved to Heart’s Delight-Islington in 2011, a move the family agreed was a true blessing. Stephen, Stephanie and the children began attending the Bay Roberts Seventh-day Adventist Church. Stephanie loved Children’s ministry and looked at each child she ministered to as a gift from God.
Stephanie’s devotion to her Saviour Jesus and the Bible, her infectious personality, her love for people and her church family, her zest for life, and her unswerving devotion, commitment and unfailing love to her husband, children and family will never, ever be forgotten. You will be so missed!
Stephanie’s favourite Bible text: 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”
A special thank-you to the Heart’s Delight-Islington Ambulance Service family, the Town of Heart’s Delight-Islington, to all the doctors, specialists, the Emergency Department and the Palliative Care Team at Carbonear General hospital who looked after Stephanie with care that cannot adequately be expressed in words as she battled this terrible cancer disease. Also, to all church family and friends who made and continue to make this difficult time a little easier by your warm words, visits, prayers, meals and love.
Cremation has taken place.
Private Cemetery Service will be at the Bay Roberts Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
A special service of remembrance will take place at the Bay Roberts Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 am. Masks will be mandatory.
