Obituary
On Saturday, September 18, 2021 Stanley Rice took his Harley for it’s final ride. Leaving us so suddenly, we can only take comfort that Stan was on the open road doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle.
Stan was predeceased by his parents: Freak and Sadie; parents-in-law: Hector and Rebecca Parsons; granddaughter Piper and his sister Vonnie.
Left with loving memories and hearts full of love, his devoted and loving wife of 46 years Ruth, (Stan was her everything); his adored daughter Jeanette (Colin) Stewart, (dad was her rock); Stan’s adored grandchildren: Floyd and Klohee.
Stan’s siblings: Marilyn (Albert) Sparkes, Mervin (Vera) Rice and Kimberly (Steve) Rice-Richard; brothers and sisters-in-laws: Doris (Junior – deceased) Dawe, Roger Cooper, Reg (Pam) Parsons and Juanita, his brothers from BMC -CBS, nieces, nephews, extended family and many special friends close to Stan’s heart.
We will cherish our memories of Stan, his devotion and love for his family and his grandchildren, the hardworking man he is with his company Stan’s Excavator Rentals, his passion for skidooing, the love of his Harley, Wednesday night bike rides with his brothers. Stan was a wealth of knowledge, he could answer any question, fix anything and always made the time to teach you no matter how busy he was. Stan’s devotion, trust and kindness will be remembered by anyone who has been in his life.
Honoring Stan’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
In Stan’s memory donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
