Obituary of Shirley Byrne
Passed peacefully away on October 18, 2021, Shirley (Elliott) Byrne at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center, Grand Falls-Windsor. She was 84 years of age. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Joseph Byrne; grandson Jody J. Payne; parents Jacob and Mildred Elliott; Aunt Lucy, Uncle Harold; sisters Susie, Elizabeth, Neta; sisters-in-law June, Francis, Mary, Dorothy, Bernice; brothers-in-law Thomas, Dennis, Scott, Ambrose, Bernard, Jim, Oliver, William and Bob.
Shirley loved chocolate, flowers, a cup of tea and singing and always having a good ole laugh. Mom was always happy and always had a smile on her face.
She leaves to mourn her sons Shawn Byrne, Brian Byrne, Derrick (Tammy) Byrne, Rodney Byrne, Chad Byrne; daughters, Debbie (Darren Peyton) Payne, Angela (Wade) Hill; Dianne (Stanley) Faulkner, Dana (Shane) Stewart; sisters Audrey, Carolyn; sisters-in-law Patricia, June, Karen Ruth; brothers Harold, Gerald; brothers-in-law Rufus, Frank; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a circle of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses on Unit 2C of the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls-Windsor, who were so wonderful to our mom.
There will be no visitation or service at this time.
She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
