Died peacefully on Saturday September 18, 2021 at the Creedan Valley Care Community, Creemore at the age of 96. Shirley, beloved wife of W. Keith Brett for over 68 years. Loving mother of Paul (Janet), David (Pamela), Earl (Karan), Nancy Brett and Elinor (Ken Rye). Cherished grandmother of Diane (Chris), Allison (Lucas), David Jr. (Teara), Matthew (Samantha), Alex, Miami, Cameron (Hailey), Amanda (Clancy) and Kirstyn (Cody) and great grandmother of Brayden, Nathan, Aubrey, Anna, Alexis and Jamie. Shirley was a kind and nurturing woman who cared deeply for her family. She was a long time member of the Sunbird Probus Club and the Wasaga Beach Probus Club and was a longtime volunteer with Arthritis Society. She will be gratefully remembered. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 7331 Highway 26, Stayner on Tuesday September 21, 2021 from 10 a.m. for the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 o’clock. Please utilize the RSVP registration to schedule your time as Public Health regulations restrict the number of people within the facility at any one time. The ceremony will also be live streamed.
