Sherwood K. Tompkins of Nackawic, NB passed away on December 27, 2021
at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born on May 2, 1951 at
Woodstock, NB, a son of the late Rosie (Lenentine) Tompkins and Murray
Tompkins.
Sherwood loved Christmas. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at
several local businesses and with the town of Nackawic.
He is survived by his nephew Beverley (Bev), who made his home with
Sherwood, plus numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins; a
sister-in-law, Zella Tompkins; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Rockwell and
Julien Lagace (Paulette); aunts Judy Dickinson (Robert), Carolyn McKay
(Harold), Catherine Hills, Nona Thomas (Peter), Barbara Lenentine
(late George) and Bertha Lenentine (late Lorne); uncles Lealand
Lenentine and Leonard Hayward.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Merlin
Tompkins; sisters, Marian Sewell (late Francis), Eileen Jenkins (late
Howard), Patricia Rockwell, Darlene Lagace and infant Sheila Tompkins.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday afternoon, December 31, 2021 from 2 to 4
pm. Interment will take place in the spring of 2022 with a graveside
service at the Lenentine Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Sherwood, the
family has suggested the Lenentine Cemetery.
