CLARK, Sherrie Diane
1943 – 2021
Passed away September 14, 2021 in Ottawa, Ontario, peacefully in the arms of Jesus. Born in Calgary, Alberta on August 9, 1943 to parents Roy and Florence Clark. Predeceased by her sister Shirley-Ann Ward. Survived by her children Leslie-Ann Robertson (Yves Roberge), Colleen Robertson, and Scott Robertson (Josée Charbonneau), and her grandchildren Soleil and Chad Robertson, as well as her brother-in-law Robert Ward, her nieces Debra Ward, and Kathlene Evans (Timothy) and their children Braydon, Bronwyn, and Cade.
Sherrie was a kind and generous woman. She never met anyone she did not love immediately. She took time to ask everyone about themselves and made everyone in her presence feel instantly loved. Sherrie was dedicated to and deeply loved her family, her friends and her dogs. She had a great sense of humour, and especially loved puns and limericks. She also loved to travel; multiple trips to Israel with friends were a significant highlight, as was the Mediterranean cruise and visit to Rome with her sister. Sherrie had a strong faith in God and dedicated much of her time to helping everyone who needed hugs and prayers. Her strong beliefs and faith community brought her solace in her final days. She was loved by everyone and will be lovingly missed. The patient and attentive care of the nurses, doctors and staff at the palliative care unit at the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital over her final months is deeply appreciated.
The thunderstorm that coincided with her passing will bring new meaning to all thunderstorms and forever remind her friends and family that she is safely in heaven. A private graveside service will be held at Highland Park Cemetery, on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021.
