Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sheila Lorraine (Kellar) Whittaker which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 26th, 2021. Born 1961, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Doris Kellar.
Sheila loved playing Bingo, pull tabs and listening to the oldies on Sunday. Most of all, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy.
Sheila is survived by her son Chris Whittaker (Courtney) of Saint John, daughter Melissa Whittaker (Justin) of Saint John; boyfriend David Clegg of Saint John; sisters Barbara of BC, Gail (Bill) of Hampton, Donna of Saint John, Carol (Al) of Saint John, Sharon of Moncton, Nancy of Saint John; brother Wayne (Vicky) of Saint John; 10 grandchildren; long-time friend Robert Grant; canine companion Jake; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Sheila was predeceased by her husband Faryl and granddaughter Tristan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Sheila’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Graveside Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Thursday, September 30th at 2 p.m., meeting at the entrance to the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Donations in memory of Sheila may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
