Sharon Beverley Bellefontaine

The family of Sharon Beverley (MacDonald) Bellefontaine regrets to announce her passing on April 10, 2021. Born and raised in Halifax, on September 2, 1943 to Stanley and Olive (Ellison) MacDonald Sharon graduated from Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing in 1960. Soon after marriage to her husband Jim she chose to stay home to raise a family. In 1975 she returned to work with Jim helping build a successful office products business in Burnside Dartmouth. After early retirement Sharon returned to family life, supporting her children with their young families. Sharon will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 55 years Jim Bellefontaine, Bedford. Sharon was predeceased by both parents Stanley and Olive MacDonald, Her sister Carol (Darryl) Clark, and brother Edward. Survived by husband Jim, sons, David (Sharon), Lower Sackville, NS.; Michael (Sonja), Dartmouth N.S.; Christopher (Gennie), Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren; Matthew, Andrew and Samantha Bellefontaine, Holly, Abbie and Alex Bellefontaine, Sophie and Jacob Bellefontaine. Sharon is also survived by brothers, Wayne (Diane) McDonald, Lower Sackville NS , Rick MacDonald, Lower Sackville NS, David (Barbara) MacDonald, Milton On. Sharon also wished to say goodbyes to so many she loved but did not have the opportunity, There was a special place in her heart she felt for close friends and family including Diana Clarke, Robert and Jan Bellefontaine as well as her many nephews and nieces. Cremation and private ceremony has taken place and a celebratory memorial service will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Sharon may be made to the Victoria General Palliative Care Unit, The Heart and Lung Association of Nova Scotia, or charity of choice. Sharon’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Qeii Health Sciences Centre, especially the Cardiac unit on the 6th floor and the palliative care unit in the Victoria General Hospital for their kindness and care in the last few weeks.
