PAROLIN, Ruth Blanche
Ruth Parolin died peacefully at Cassellholme, North Bay, on Sunday, December 26, 2021. She was 101 years old. Ruth (Cameron) was predeceased by her husband Cecil Parolin (1917-1980). She was the beloved mother of Don Parolin of Arnstein; dear sister of Verda Eckensviller (the late Angus) of Kitchener; and much-loved aunt of Debbie Stillar (Claire) of Kitchener and Charlene Shingler (Ken) of Waterloo. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Clara (Mainprize) and Melvin Cameron. Born and raised in Golden Valley, Ruth’s family were early pioneers of the area. She moved to Arnstein after marriage and was the bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Arnstein Garage, until his death. For many years Ruth successfully ran a school bus business, retiring in 2007. The Parolin family will receive visitors at St. Paul’s United Church, Golden Valley, on Sunday, January 2, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Please call the funeral home at 705-724-2024 to book a visiting time. COVID-19 protocols will apply, masks must be worn and physical distancing is required. A private funeral service will follow on Monday and will be posted on Ruth’s memorial page at paulfuneralhome.ca beginning Tuesday, January 4. Spring interment will take place at Arnstein Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to St. Paul’s United Church or the Port Loring Ladies Auxiliary are suggested.
