Russell Langley 2021

We, the family of Russell Wesley Langley, regret to announce his passing on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born December 7, 1937, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Russell and Lila (Brewer) Langley.
Russell was a longtime employee of Cape Breton Chrysler where he worked in the parts department.
A kind and gentle soul, Russell will be missed by his partner of 60 years, Leo Ongo; sister, Emma Elizabeth “Betty” Dawe; sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Liz” Langley; and many nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn are many of his Ongo family and foster sister-in-law, Sylvia Ferguson.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Langley; sister, Constance “Connie” Cook; and brother-in-law, Frank Dawe.
Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 14 from 1-3 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 3p.m., with Lieutenant Dion Durdle officiating. Covid-19 protocol will be followed and proof of double vaccine is mandatory. Interment will take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
