Of Grand Desert, formally of North Sydney, departed peacefully on November 19, 2021, at the age of 70. Ross was born on April 17, 1951, to his late parents, Muriel Brideau and Ross Russell. Ross was a great big hugger who made everyone feel the loved, well known in the community after his many years of volunteering at the Grand Desert Community Center. Ross leaves behind his beloved wife, Vi (Viola Negus), his children, Ross (Lisa) of Tillsonburg, Ontario, Robert (Tammy) Eastern Passage and his baby girl Rosalyn (Dennis) Bellefontaine. His grandchildren Devin, Connor, and his best buddy Kaden Bellefontaine. Samantha Wattel, Keaton and Mehki Russell, Josh and Joel Russell and Cody King. Great grandson Eli. His brothers Sandy (Tracy), Ron (Trina), Joe and Lloyd Russell and Troy Brideau (Heather). His sister in laws, Claudia Hawkes, and Brenda (John) MacLeod. Brother in laws Wally (Sharon), David (Elaine). Many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by Stepfather Dick Brideau, brothers David, Jimmy, and Allister. His in-laws Clifford and Mae Negus, brother-in-law Wayne Paavola. There will be no service as per his request. A private family service will be held at the graveside. Flowers are welcome and memorial contributions can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
