Ross O’Brien
June 16, 1935 – September 26, 2021
Ross O’Brien – On Sunday, September 26th, 2021, Ross O’Brien of Dartmouth peacefully passed away at the age of 86. Ross will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Janet O’Brien and daughters Janice (Ande) Lake, Dallas, Texas and Seana (Greg) Chadwick, Oakville, Ontario. Papa will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Drew Lake, Dani (Parker) Chenault and Taylor Chadwick.
Ross was born in Halifax, and predeceased by his father James O’Brien, mother Ellen O’Brien, sister Nancy Mackinnon and brother Daniel O’Brien.
Ross had immense love for his wife, children and grandchildren never missing an opportunity to spend time with the ones he loved. Ross had a successful career with Canada Post and continued into his retirement as President of the Bluenose Chapter of the Canada Post Heritage Club. Ross was a friend of all who knew him, quick to tell a joke, offer a helping hand and a big smile.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 30th at St Peter’s Church in Dartmouth. Donations in memory may be made to bideawhile.org, The Food Bank or the charity of your choice.
