The family announces with heavy hearts, the passing of our mother on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the age of 98 years. Daughter of the late Hervé and the late Yvonne (née Chevrier) Laurin. Spouse of the late Roger Fontaine. Mother of Pauline Giroux (Rolly), Raymond (Louise) and Carol Daoust (Gilles). Predeceased by her son Daniel. Grandmother to Richard (Cindy), Liette (Gilles), Michel, Lizanne, Paul, Julie, late Alain, great-grandmother of Kyle, Jeffery, Alex, Kaylee, Jordan, Christopher, Alayna, and great-great-grandmother to one. Dear sister of Claudette Skryba (Ben) of Sault Ste-Marie. Predeceased by her siblings Gerard (late Anita) and Maurice (Diana). Rose will be remembered for her kind heart. She loved playing bingo, fishing, and playing her violin. The family would like to thank all the staff at St-Joseph’s Villa for the fantastic care and compassion given to our mother. A special thank you to Nicole. As per Rose’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Interment to be held at a later date.
