Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved dad, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Ronald “Baloo” Green.
Ronald was a man of his word, humble and giving in his own way. He was a logger, trapper, hunter and commercial fisherman in the many years he worked. Anyone who got to know and spend time with him knew him as “Baloo” and that he loved to joke around, loved to jig, play his imaginary violin, and make up his own songs to sing to the people he was with. He liked being silly to entertain his family and close friends, and everyone knew he loved and adored his family especially his sister Frances; nieces Daphne Green and Brenda McKay; cousin Joe Ross; his special friends Clarence Sawanash, Allan Berens, Eleanor Lambert, Violet Patrick and Beverly Green; his children and grandchildren, who will forever miss his presence.
Ronald leaves behind his four adult children Kate (Guy), Eric (Angela), Rudy and Kelly; sisters Irene Kirkness, Frances McKay, Viola Bittern and May McDonald; brothers Percy Green (Trish), Herman Green (Linda) and Ernest Green (Albina); Step Children Percy Bouchie, Velma Hudson (Conrad); grandchild – a young man he brought up Logan “Balogan” Hudson, and Olive Bouchie; Numerous grandchildren (22), great grandchildren (31), nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Ronald was pre-deceased by his parents Alexander Gordon and Ida May Green; his brother Antoine “Tony” Green; In-laws Norman Bittern, Larry McDonald, Elias McKay and Matthew Kirkness, Dorothy Green, Alice Green and his step – children Wilma Patrick, Lawrence Bouchie and not to forget the many rainbows babies that’ll keep him on his toes.
Many thanks to the ICU staff at the Grace Hospital and MICU at HSC, as well as Berens River C&C, BR Gaming, Negginan Gaming, and the community of Berens River.
