The family of Roger Marvin is saddened to announce his passing on March 31st at the age of 73 years. He slipped away peacefully at his Beaumont home and leaves behind Eleanor, his loving wife; his two children Greg (Connie), Nicole (Mike); his three grandchildren Abbey, Maddix and Porter; as well as his two brothers Doug (Lois) and Dave (Holly) and their families. Roger will also be fondly remembered by the extended families of Mark and Felix.
Roger enjoyed an accomplished career but found true happiness in retirement spending as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors. He had a love for fishing on ice or in a boat, camping throughout Alberta with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and hunting the coulees of the Battle River or the Northern Clear Hills. His captivating personality and welcoming smile will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He had a way of making anyone who talked with him feel as though they were the only person in the world that mattered. His grandchildren will especially miss his humour, wit, smile, and endless stories.
Though he has physically left us, his memory will live strong through countless stories told and special memories made. He treated his life and everyone in it as a true gift and lived every moment to the absolute fullest.
There will be no memorial service. Please raise a glass in his honour. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mazankowski Alberta Health Institute.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Roger Marvin 2021..
