Robert Welwood 1946 2021

Obituary of Robert Welwood
Robert (Bob) Richard Welwood lived on an acreage near Beaverlodge, Alberta. He went to be with his Saviour on December 11, 2021 from a hospital in Edmonton at the age of 75.
Bob was born in Kingston, Ontario to Gladys and Donovan Welwood on January 25, 1946. He hitchhiked across Canada, attended Brockville Bible College, worked as a pricer for GTE Automatic Electric, operated several businesses, ran a hobby farm, and babysat his grandchildren. Bob was particularly enthusiastic about the off-grid power system he designed for their acreage. But the job he was most excited about was a volunteer position—chaplain at Hythe Continuing Care Centre.
Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Rae-Lynne (Rod), Tracy, Steven, Karen, and Kristine; grandchildren, Tyler, Loriann (Allen), Dylan, Kathryn, Sarah, Danee, Lauren, Darren, April, Ella, and Micah; great-grandchildren, Ricki, Everly, Levi, and William; sister, Crystal (Fred); brothers-in-law, Loren and Chris; and his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Sylvia.
Bob was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be lovingly remembered for the faith he lived and the kindness he showed. We look forward to seeing him again.
