Robert Thomas Millar Sunday December 12th 2021

MILLAR, Robert Thomas Rorie – It is with great sadness that we announce
the passing of
Bob Millar on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in his 93rd year.
Born and educated in Hamilton, Bob was a successful businessman,
employed and retired from
Pittsburg Paint and Glass. He enjoyed his job, his church (Arkell
United), the cottage and was an
avid golfer (longtime member/executive of the Guelph Country Club).
His greatest joy was his family; Florence, his loving and devoted first
wife of 63 years, his three
children, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife Florence (2012), his only son
David (2013), his brother
Bill Millar and his parents Robert and Agnes Millar.
He is survived by his second wife Peg Lawson, his daughter Laurie
Stevenson (Shawn) and their
children Emily and Thomas, his daughter-in-law Etta Millar and their
children Brian and Scott,
his son-in-law Tim Johnston, daughter Janice Johnston (estranged) and
their four sons Andrew,
Jeremy, Jeff and Greg, his brother Eddie Millar (the late Pat) and
sister Nancy Johnson (the late
Ben).
Bob had a good and full life. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling
and companionship with his
wife Peg Lawson.
As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral. Cremation has
taken place. A private,
family only interment will be at Farnham Cemetery in Arkell. A
Celebration of Bob’s life will
take place in the spring of 2022. If you wish to send a tribute, please
send it to Hospice
Wellington. Online donations and condolences can be made at
www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
John 3-16.
