Robert “Bobby” Harlow Howard
1930-2021
Robert H. “Bobby” Howard, 90, of Back Bay, New
Brunswick, died on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at UPMC, Carlisle,
Pennsylvania. He was born on December 12, 1930, near
Augusta, Maine and was a son of the late Harlow Murch Howard and
Lucille (French) Cook.
Returning to Back Bay, as a small boy, he was raised by his
grand-parents, Clinton and Hannah French.
Bobby graduated from the Back Bay High School. He
retired from the FAFNIR Bearing Co. in New Britain, CT after many
years of services as an aircraft bearing inspector. He was a
member of the St. George Baptist Church in St. George.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years Melva V.
(Leslie) Howard, two sons, Brian (wife Jolene) Howard of Carlisle, PA
and David (wife Valerie) Howard of Ham Lake, MN, a half-sister Faye
Searles Leslie of Back Bay, two grandsons, Braeden (wife Amanda)
Howard of Carlisle and Collin (wife Jennifer) Howard of Boiling
Springs, two granddaughters, Margaret “Maggie” Howard of St.
Paul, MN and Hannah (husband Ian) Pratt of Reno, NV. Bobby
was preceded in death by one brother Clinton Howard.
Burial will be in St. George Rural Cemetery in St.
George.
