Robert Bob Warren Thompsett 19572021

Robert (Bob) Warren Thompsett
1957-2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob)
Thompsett announce his sudden passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB, at the age of 63. Born in Owen
Sound, ON, on the 15th of May 1957.
In addition to his long-time partner and friend Chantal
Coulombe, Bob leaves behind his Daughters Michelle Thompsett (Michael
Morse); Jennifer Thompsett (Mathieu LeBlanc); Sons Brien Thompsett
(Jes Pandher), Darren Thompsett (Nina Hebert). Brother to Marilyn
(Mamie) Campbell (Randy). Grandchildren Ava Morse; Jeremy and Evan
Slade, Colton LeBlanc; Katie Lynn, Kristian, Kalissa, Jayden and Ahnya
Thompsett; Austin, Spencer and Emmett Thompsett. Uncle to Tanya
Swanton (Brian); Rob Campbell (Marcia). Great Uncle to Leah (Adalynn),
Devan (Tessa), Logan, Meghan and Ryan. He also leaves behind his furry
companion and friend, his cat Tye. Bob was predeceased by his parents;
Evelyn Byers Thompsett and Gerald Thompsett; and his beautiful angel
granddaughter Hayley Morse.
Bob joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1977 as a Supply
Technician. He served proudly with the Navy, competing peace keeping
tours in both Syria and the Golan Heights. He and his family moved
frequently throughout Canada during his military career. He retired in
Borden, ON in 1999 after 22 years of service. His military career is
something he was so proud of and enjoyed. He always had stories and
memories to tell and share.
Having moved to Oromocto, NB, in December of 2017, he soon
started a job at 5 CDSB Gagetown, NB, as a commissionaire at 403
squadron and Petersville. He enjoyed his job and the people he met and
worked with. If there was anyone needed to jump in and help it was
him. He was highly liked, reliable and
dependable.
Bob was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan, anyone who knows
him knows how passionate he was about them. He was a quiet, gentle man
and enjoyed the seclusion of his land. He was a genuine person who was
always up for a drink, laugh or a late night conversation. He loved
watching his grandkids play their sports and cherished these moments.
We know in our hearts that he would want us to celebrate his life,
turn the music on, have a toast and laugh. He will be so missed, until
we meet again.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date
once his family is safely able to gather.
