Obituary of Rita Salvatore
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie at the age of 81.
Predeceased by her cherished husband Alfredo. Dearly missed by her children Nunzio (Tara), Luigi (Michelle), Sabrina, Natalino, Enzo (Debbie), Rocco, and Anna-Maria. Rita was adored by her loving grandchildren Laura, Rebecca, Bruce, Alex, Selina, Anthony, Nathaniel, Jack, Marilyn, Piper and Gabriella, and great grandson Xavier. Rita is survived by her sisters Gilda (Michael) and Angela, her brother Luigi, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rita’s family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. There will be a private family funeral service following in the Armstrong Chapel with Father Janusz Roginski officiating. Following the private service, burial will follow at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery, Port Colborne where all are welcome to attend. Due to COVID restrictions, attendance will be monitored for capacity, gathering limits will be enforced and facemasks are required for the visitation and service. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
