Obituary of Rita Alisdair
Alisdair, Emarita “Rita” – passed away at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke, surrounded by her family, on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the age of 97 years.
Rita Alisdair (nee Raymond) of Pembroke, wife of the late Michael Alisdair. Loving mother of Joan Eldridge (Lewis), London; Keith Landon (Jislaine), Pembroke; Tom Landon (Sheila), Pembroke; and Jaqueline Hopkins (Laverne), Cambridge. Cherished grandmother of Susan, Debbie, Kathy & Luanne; Michelle & Deborah; Nancy & Dean; and Paul; as well as many great- and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by grandsons Lewis & Johnny. Daughter of the late Frederick & Annie Mary Raymond (nee Marcotte), and dear sister of Ida Mae Lance (Leslie), Anne MacNeil (late Dan), and the late Marion Raymond. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 7 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Columbkille Cathedral, Pembroke on Monday at 11:00 a.m., followed by cremation. Interment of ashes in St. Columba’s Cemetery, along with a celebration of Rita’s life, will be held at a later date.
