Obituary of Ricky “Sam” Gray
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the death of Richard Gray on July 5, 2021 at the Brockville General Hospital after a very short battle with cancer. Beloved son of Douglas and Beatrice Gray (DeBruge). Dear brother of Arlene White, Brenda (Bob) Devries, Ronnica (Jeff) Dawson, Randy Gray, Rodney (Cris) Gray and Robin Gray and good friend to the family Kenny and Sue Warren. Very special friend and companion of Carolyn Vanderwal and her son Michael Vanderwal. Cherished uncle of Danielle, Cassandra, Alan, Dustin, Chris, Craig, Becky, Kylee, Connor, Alyssa, Cory and great uncle to several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his dogs Abby and Snuggles. Rick is predeceased by his grandparents George and Kay DeBruge (Deion) and Gerald and Reina Colburne (Carr), sister-in-law Tressa Gray and niece Jeffrica Gray and Nicole Arch. Rick’s family would like to thank the Emergency, 1st East and Palliative Care for their support, kindness, caring and big hears during our final time with Rick.
As per Rick’s request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
