It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Remi Dicaire, on December 24, 2021. Beloved husband of 49 years to Kathy Dicaire (née Townsend). Devoted father of Stephan (Guylaine Lanthier), Nathalie and late infant daughter Nicole. Loving grandfather of his precious Alexane. Remi is predeceased by his parents Bernard Dicaire and Laurette Seguin of Ste. Justine de Newton, QC. Loving brother of Jules (late Rita), Monique (Bruno Lalonde), late Jean -Guy, late Jocelyne (Albert Lalonde), late Denis (Claudette Dicaire), Raymond, Diane (Gerald Lanthier), Gisele (Leo Landry and late Roma Lavallée) and late Nicole. Survived by brother-in-law Ken Townsend (Lynda), sister in law’s Charlene Townsend (late Wayne MacDonald), Marlene Townsend (Richard Campeau). Remi was the founder and operator of Stay Net Reg’d for over 35 years. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria (525-2772) on Thursday January 6, 2022, from 9 – 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 6 at 11 am in St. Finnan’s Basilica. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. Memorial donations to the Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Remi, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
