Raymond Joseph Blanchard Ray 1944 2021

Obituary of Raymond Joseph Blanchard “Ray”
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Center, surrounded by family on December 8th, at the age of 77 years. Ray was a kind and loving husband to Raissa. He was a kind, supportive gentle father as well as a friend to his two children Dehlia Blanchard (Claude Thibault) and Neal Judge (Shannon) and a supportive stepfather to Lena and Andrey…he taught us that life was a journey and was always realist about outcomes. He would always say “it will be, what it will be” He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren Raven and Rayne Judge, Yana and Daniel Volkova. He was grateful for the friendship of his neighbours.
Ray was a Mechanical Engineer and spent his whole life building, fixing, or tinkering with anything and everything, from houses to cars and other projects. He was an avid puzzler and loved to watch movies after a hard day’s work. He would never hesitate to help anyone who asked or needed it…
Ray was the type of individual to always push through hardship and challenges and demonstrated this again in his battle with cancer, giving his all to survive with this awful disease.
He will be dearly missed by all of those who loved him. Special thanks to the Dr’s and staff in the Cancer Care Unit and the Cardiology Dept. at SLRHC.
