Raymond Ray Duncan Ferguson September 23rd 2021

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce that Ray Ferguson of Fruitvale, BC was tragically killed on September 23, 2021 in Nanaimo, BC while paving a portion of the Trans-Canada Highway.
In Ray’s early years, he tried his hand at many occupations such as Cominco, sawmills, logging, commercial fishing and a short stint in underground mining before finding his true calling and passion as a paving rakerman almost 40 years ago.
Ray is survived by his daughter Jelene Heimbecker (Matt), sisters Cheryl Hicks (Dennis) and Jane Regnier (Sid), nieces and nephews Stacey, Chad, Kim and Jeff, estranged spouse Bernie Ferguson, children through marriage Christopher Haney, Jennifer Fillion, Theressa Meeder, Kim Beaulieu, grandchildren through marriage and many family, friends and co-workers.
Sadly, Ray was predeceased by his parents Patricia (2006) and Robert (2011).
Ray will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, his love for fishing and hunting, his dedication to his work and the friendship and mentorship he provided to many.
Cremation has taken place and Ray will rest in Trail, BC at Mountain View Cemetery beside his parents.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Raymond Ray Duncan Ferguson September 23rd 2021..
