Obituary
Raymond was a true gentleman. He was a great father, brother, uncles, and grandfather. He loved his children and grandchildren, and showed them the outdoor life by taking them out hunting and fishing and camping. Raymond was an avid horseman who could ride the most high spirited of horses. He also loved to be out on the lake fishing with his dad, Doug. Raymond had a special relationship with him and they spent countless hours together cutting wood, setting the fishing nets, hunting and working in the logging industry. They would have coffee together and talk about how things were going in their daily lives. Raymond was a man who would rescue someone who was in trouble no matter what it was. If a person desperately needed something and if Raymond had it, he would give it up gladly, just to be of help.
Raymond is survived by: his loving parents, Douglas and Eliza Starr; his daughters, Carrie Paddy, Chasity Johnson, and Tonye Rae Johnson; his sons, Darcy Armstrong, and Tyler Johnson; his brothers, Gilbert Thunderchild, Louis Horse, and Lonnie Lewis; and his sisters, Bettyanne, Verna, Loretta (Ivan), and Jackie.
Raymond is predeceased by: his common-law wife, Alvina Johnson; his biological father, Lawrence Thunderchild; his sisters, Donna and Carol; his sister that he perished with, Laverna Starr-Thunderchild; his brother, Kenneth; his grandparents, Emma and Pete Stoney, George Alexander and Esther Thunderchild, and Philomine Starr.
