Obituary
It is with appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Ralph William Maguire announce his passing to his heavenly home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Monday October 25, 2021 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born April 20, 1934 in Lorneville, NB he was the only son of Arthur and Margaret (Rose) Maguire.
While Ralph enjoyed his career as part of the Federal Civil Service, it was his many travel adventures for pleasure that he truly enjoyed, to Sebago Lake, Maine and Sarasota, Florida, his favourite destinations. He also took great pride in the grounds surrounding is home with vast numbers of flowers in bloom, trees trimmed to perfection and not a blade of grass out of place all while whistling a tune.
Even while the last year presented a great many health challenges, throughout this he maintained his positive attitude, his sense of humour, and when enquiry was made as to his health the answer was always the same, “I’m the very best!”.
Ralph will be missed by his wife of 62 years Barbara (Downey) Maguire; his daughter Cindee Maguire, and his son Jeffrey (Gwenda) Maguire; his three beloved grandchildren: Gregory (Laura) Maguire, Natalie Maguire, and Aaron (Barbara Tavares) Maguire; and two adored great-grandchildren: Teagan and Nicholas Maguire; sisters: Eleanor White, Lorraine Maguire, Diane (Roger) Cartwright; along with many nieces and nephews.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents; two sisters: Marlene Maguire and Doreen McCavour; two brothers-in-law: Basil White and Murray McCavour.
There will be a graveside service Friday October 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Lorneville Cemetery for family and friends.
