Jeremy Michael Priebe of Edmonton passed away on December 15, 2021 at the age of 40 years, after a very brief battle with Leukemia. Jeremy was born August 20th, 1981 in Calgary, Alberta, the 1st of 2 children to Les and Cheryl Priebe.
Throughout his life Jeremy worked in a variety of jobs in the sales and service industry, the trades and in management. He had a red seal ticket as a welder.
As a young man Jeremy married Lindsay Reitsema and they had 2 sons, Dameon and Maddox.
He was later married to Barb Harback.
Throughout the years, Jeremy’s various interests included learning to play the banjo, camping, fishing, building things. He had a great appreciation for God’s creation and a loved spending time outdoors in nature, taking long walks and observing wild life. He wasn’t afraid to dream.
Jeremy loved God, and his personal relationship with Jesus made all the difference in his life, especially when facing difficulties and health challenges.
He was generous, kind hearted, had a soft spot for the underdog and the marginalized. He loved spending time with his 2 sons and family and was always willing to lend a hand.
Jeremy will be lovingly remembered by his parents Les and Cheryl Priebe, his sons Dameon and Maddox Priebe, his sister Melinda (Bryan) Prichard and their 2 children, his son’s mother Lindsay Priebe, his wife Barb Harback, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jeremy’s family is grateful for all the love, prayers and messages from family, friends and their church families in Edmonton, Ft. Saskatchewan, and Calgary. They would like to extend their thanks to the ER staff at the Misericordia Hospital and the doctors and staff at the University of Alberta Hematology Unit and ICU for their concern, care, and efforts to help him receive the best care possible.
A celebration of life was held December 30th, 2021 at Greenfield Community Church, Edmonton. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Greenfield Community Church Benevolent Fund, 3712-114 St. Edmonton, AB T6J 1M1.
