Phillip James Rody of 404 Edmonton Crescent, Miramichi, NB, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Born in Geraldton, ON, predeceased by the love of his life Nancy. His mother Doris and father Michael Rody and siblings Eddie, Elsie and Roy.
Phillip joined the Navy on July 11, 1963 and served until September 16, 1998. Throughout his long and distinguished career with the Navy, both ashore and at sea in HMC ships and submarines, he served with honour and respect. Of particular note was his tour of duty as Coxswain, of HMCS Preserver. The successful completion of this operational assignment was, in no small part due to Chief Petty Officer First Class Rody’s excellent leadership and organizational skills.
