Nous sommes profondément attristés d’annoncer le décès de M. Philip James, le 15 mars 2021, à l’âge de 97 ans et 11 mois au CHSLD de Cowansville. Né à Beccles, Suffolk en Angleterre, le 21 mars 1923, fils d’Ernest et Daisy James. Il a commencé sa carrière à la RAF et a été promu chef d’escadron. Il a immigré au Canada en 1955 et a travaillé dans l’industrie aéronautique en tant qu’ingénieur professionnel. Philippe était aimant, brillant, bienveillant et doux. Sa famille a toujours été très importante pour lui et il aimait aussi beaucoup la nature.
Il laisse dans le deuil sa conjointe Jacqueline, ses enfants : Carol (David), Peter (Selina), Robbie et Julie, ses petits-enfants : Sean, Laura, Sophie, Jenna, Isabelle, Dylan, Brayden et Rylan, ses 5 arrière-petits-enfants. Il manquera également aux enfants de Jacqueline : Patrick, Nathalie et Stéphanie. Étant donné les circonstances actuelles entourant la Covid-19, une célébration intime aura lieu à Knowlton.
Nous tenons à remercier tout le personnel d’Excelsoins et du Centre d’Accueil de Cowansville pour leur excellente attention et pour les soins apportés à M. Philip James. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons peuvent être faits à n’importe quel organisme de votre choix à la mémoire de Philip James.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Philip on March 15th, 2021
at the age 97 and 11 months in CHSLD in Cowansville.
Born in Beccles, Suffolk, England on March 21, 1923, son of Ernest and Daisy James. He began his career in the RAF and was promoted to Squadron Leader.
He immigrated to Canada in 1955 and worked in the aviation industry as a professional aeronautical engineer.
Philip was such a loving, brilliant, caring and gentle soul. His family was always so important to him. He enjoyed the nature very much.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Jacqueline and his children: Carol (David), Peter (Selina), Robbie, and Julie; his grandchildren: Sean, Laura, Sophie, Jenna, Isabelle, Dylan, Brayden and Rylan; and his 5 great-grandchildren. As well, he will be missed by Jacqueline’s children: Patrick, Nathalie and Stéphanie.
Due to Covid, there will be only a private family service in Knowlton.
We would like to thank all the care givers of Excelsoins and Centre d’Accueil de Cowansville for their excellent attention and care provided to Philip.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of your choice in memory of Philip James.
