DUNCAN, Pearl Bertha
God called Pearl peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Cherished by her family, she passed at the age of 97 years. Loving wife of the late Kenneth Lloyd Duncan d. February 3, 2006. She will be sadly missed by daughters Nancy Pearl Duncan and Deb Brown of Peterborough, Carol Killingbeck (late Richard) of Oshawa, Debbie and Tim Crosby of Bancroft. Loving grandma of Gregory and Jaimie Killingbeck of Elora, Graham and Shaleeen Killingbeck of Beaumont, Alberta, Shawna and Justin Siydock of Bancroft, Dean and Savannah Crosby of Bancroft. Dear great grandma of Nicholas and Eric, Seth, Farrah and Kieran Pearl, Jasper, Braeyah Pearl and Colby. Auntie Pearl will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Harry Thompson and Maude Wakeford and brothers Harry, Frank and Percy Thompson and a sister Marjorie Coe. All who knew Pearl were touched by her love of life and love of people. Special thanks to the staff of Royal Gardens for their care of Pearl over the past five years and the staff of Hospice Peterborough over the past few days.
Friends may gather at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Please reserve your time by calling the funeral home at 705-745-4612 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. All guests are required to wear a face covering. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private family Celebration of Life for Pearl in the DUFFUS CHAPEL on Monday, August 23, 2021. Reverend Frank Patrick officiating. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay. Those wishing may make donations to Hospice Peterborough or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
