It brings great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our mother Pauline Mary Chartrand. Beloved grandmother, loving sister, auntie, and loving friend.
Mom was called home April 13 2021, she passed away in St. Rose while being transported to the Brandon hospital.
Mom leaves to mourn her children, her son Leo Chartrand Jr. her daughter Pamela Chartrand (David), her step daughter Sylvia Chartrand, step son Floyd Chartrand, her adopted son Armond Gauthier aka Army, her grand daughters Brooke, Taylor, and Macie along with their father who she loved dearly Logan Nepinak, her grand daughter Jade Lynn Chartrand and her son, moms great grandson Nolan Robb. Grand daughter Tiffany Friesen, grandson Evan Friesen. Mom also leaves 5 sisters Delores Chartrand, Stella Tanner (Jim), Belinda Owens Tanner (Roger), Rhonda Tanner, Sandra Tanner (Emery),1 surviving brother George Tanner (Karen). Her brother in law David Chartrand (Donna), brother-in-law Peter Chartrand (Sharon). Numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished and loved.
Pauline was pre deceased by her husband Leo Chartrand. Parents Rene and Matilda Tanner. Brothers Archie Tanner, Stewart Wayne Tanner, Nelson “Tiny” Tanner, her grandsons Logan Nepinak “Biboy”, Georgies Chartrand “lil Georgie”, her step daughter Shiela and her son Dallas Friesen.
Pauline was born in Swan River, Mb. March 12 1960 to Rene & Matilda Tanner. Mom lived in Pine River Mb. Till the family decided to move to Camperville where Pauline lived till her passing. Pauline met Leo Chartrand June 2 1979. They had 2 beautiful children together, a son Leo Chartrand Jr. and a daughter Pamela. Pauline and Leo were married in 1990.
Pauline was well known for her bingo calling. Which was given to her by Melva & Jonas Chartrand at the age of 16 years old. Pauline raised her husband’s children as one of her own whom she loved deeply.
Pauline worked numerous jobs. She loved going out together as a family, she enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards (rummy), fishing, she loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed life with her grand children, she loved each and every one of them, she made sure that we always had what we wanted, she gave us the world and than some. Mom enjoyed watching wrestling with her grand daughter Taylor, she loved every minute of every day with her family, she enjoyed spending weekends in Dauphin with her 2 little sisters Rhonda and Stella. A weekend getaway was always what she liked and spending time with auntie Rhondas grandchildren whom she loved very much. Mom always looked forward to her big sisters phone calls, they’d talk for hours on end, she loved her family so much and would do absolutely anything for them, she loved the unexpected visits from brothers-in-law David, she always knew she was getting something, she loved him and Donna very dearly.
In 2016 Pauline was elected councillor of her home town whom she served her community with the utmost professionalism for 4 years. Pauline was a devoted wife even after our fathers passing in 2010, she was a devoted, loving, caring mother & grandmother, she was a loving friend.
We will always remember her for her kindness and generosity and mostly her love that she had for us. Our mother will always be remembered for her big beautiful smile. May our beautiful mother Rest In Peace. Mom is finally reunited with her husband once again.
