Obituary of Patricia Irene Comerford
COMERFORD, Patricia Irene
Passed away peacefully on November 9, 2021 at the age of 99. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leo Comerford and her brother Kenneth Hunniford. Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Maureen Walsh, and her son, Gary (Catherine) Comerford. She was a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren, Christine (Ryan), Graham (Emily), Patrick (Daria), and Brian. Cherished great-grandmother to Kathleen, Robbie and Evie.
Patricia worked for Bell Canada for over 40 years. She was a long-time and founding member of St. Julia Parish. Patricia will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family.
Special thanks to the staff at NHS-St. Catharines, and Patricia’s family doctor, Dr. Belgasem, for his constant care and attention. The family wishes to also express their gratitude to the staff at Anchor Pointe.
In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Saturday, November 13 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home ceremony room at 11 a.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brock University (School of Nursing) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
In accordance with the Covid-19 regulations, proof of vaccination and ID is required for all guests attending the visitation and funeral. Masks are required upon entry.
