Patricia Tracy Rossi Saturday January 2nd 2021

A beautiful soul was lost on January 2nd 2021, when Tracy peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, with the words “I LOVE YOU” rolling off her tongue. Loving wife of Fred Rossi, caring mother of Tyler, Connor, Meghan & future daughter in-law Natasha, Daughter of Patricia Mary & the late Ed Macarthur and devoted sister of Theresa. She will be forever ingrained in the hearts of family & friends.
Our utmost & sincerest gratitude to Sunnybrook Hospital for their outstanding care over the past eleven years. We have so much respect for the knowledge, dedication & work ethics of the doctors, nurses & medical staff. Tracy always felt comfort knowing she had the highest level of support imaginable throughout her battle with Cancer.
Tracy’s story began on January 20th, 1962 in North York. As a young woman she attended Emery High School where she met many of her lifelong friends & ultimately met her high school sweetheart Fred. In 1984 she graduated from York University with honours, and following that in 1986 she received a college diploma at Humber with honours. Her career started at the Township of Richmond Hill, during that time she taught figure skating and organized many events always giving everything she had to the community. She had a spice for life that was unmatched, participating in almost everything she could. Tracy had many passions from skating, skiing, golf & her love for the outdoors. Tracy had an unbelievable charisma and outgoing nature that flourished over time & she loved and truly valued the simple things in life which started with family.
As Tracy always said “the most important thing in life is family” was a true testament to how she lived her life. Her inviting and warm personality almost made everyone feel like family, as she would constantly sacrifice her mind, body & soul to allow those around her to have anything & everything. Her courage, constant support & love for Fred and her closest family members created a foundation that could not exist today without her. Tracy would be the first at every event, showing love & support through her cheering and words of wisdom. Her profound nature, patience & heart of gold brought people together and her welcoming and nurturing personality & kindness kept them there. Family was the most important aspect of Tracy’s life. She cared very deeply & cherished every single second spent with family at every occasion we had. Whether it was candle lit dinners, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, birthdays or just a simple “date!”, she had an irreplaceable and caring charm that can never be replaced.
Tracy’s favourite place on earth was the cottage. She cherished her card games and talks of life followed by endless boat rides with her family and friends. She loved “happy hour” by the dock filled with uncontrollable laughter and unforgettable memories. She looked forward to each & every weekend as it brought opportunity to bring everyone together which brought her peace and happiness, not to mention the unbeatable views and sunsets that came along with it. Tracy loved to travel the world, whether it was skiing the hills of Switzerland & Austria or exploring big cities such as New York, Chicago & Lions football games in Detroit. All of her favourite memories came from living in the moment and accepting the beauty of each day in places like Africa, The Mediterranean, Caribbean & of course Florida with her dearest of friends & family. Friendship meant everything in the world to Tracy & the memories and times she shared with so many amazing people is what will keep her alive forever in the hearts of everyone she blessed.
There is no easy way to say goodbye. Instead of goodbye, we say see you soon. See you when we close our eyes, remember you through pictures & people, listen to you in our hearts and mind, talk to you in our prayers & love you unconditionally through memory and soul. Tracy you will be missed but never forgotten. Your kindness & legacy runs through all the hearts of the people you touched. Rest In Peace Our Angel.
As per the families wishes a private funeral mass will be held at a later date due to the current situation. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Tracy Rossi to Sunnybrook Health Science Centre donate.sunnybrook.ca/tribute.
