SHORTT-KANNAWIN, Patricia Shirley (nee Smith) – surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, December 19th, 2021 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Alex Kannawin of Port Dover and the late Lloyd Shortt (1986). Daughter of the late Harley Wesley Smith and Cecelia Mary Smith (Labert). Loving mother of Danny Shortt (Dianne DeVriendt) of Tillsonburg and Mary Ann Van Natter (late Garry – 1988) of Simcoe. Cherished grandmother & great grandmother of Rebecca Shortt, children Braden, Barrett & Bryer (Paul Hudson); Aimee Shortt (Robert Jamieson); Shannon Urbanski (Chris), daughter Savannah; and Stacey Van Natter, her son Connor. Dear sister of Joan Carpenter (Stan), Nancy Carpenter, & Douglas Smith (Carol). Predeceased by siblings Letta Sherman (late Bill), Jack Smith, Raymond Smith, Lawrence “Buck” Smith (late Ina), William Smith, Merle Smith (late Rita), Ken Smith & James Smith (late Mary). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Patricia with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A private funeral “by invitation only” will be held with Chaplin Erna Greenfield officiating. Interment of ashes: Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe. Those wishing to donate in memory of Patricia are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program.
