Patricia Blanche Swan March 28 2021 avis de deces

Swan, Patricia Blanche – Even the most indomitable of souls, the fieriest of spirits must one day return home to their Creator. Patricia Blanche Swan of East Jeddore, returned to her creator on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the age of 81.
When Pat’s children were young, the phrase “stay-at-home-mom” didn’t exist. It was usual for women to stay home with the children while their husbands worked. But even by the standards of the era, Pat was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She served her community through her church for many years either with prayer or a helping hand. She always ensured that every child who crossed her path was safe, healthy, and happy. If she was ever feeling down, all she needed to do was get a smile from a grandbaby to brighten her day. She spent her time on this earth sipping cups of tea, creating beautiful flower arrangements, jewelry and scrapbooking. She loved watching the birds and the flowers. Anyone who knew Pat, knew of her love of shopping and fashion, full day shopping trips to Sears bargain basement, in her heels, Pat was always dressed to the nines, matching right down to her clip-on earrings. Pat enjoyed her visits to Chipman, NB to see her family, Wayne and Eileen Northrup, who she loved so dearly. She was a faithful member of Marine Drive Pentecostal Church and the Senior Luncheon program for many years. Her love for God did not go unnoticed, she was a beautiful witness to all around her always offering prayer and support.
Pat will be forever remembered by her loving husband, George, of 61 years; children, Sheila (Carl) Arnold, Shirley (Chris) Marks, Jamie (Tammie) Swan, Beverley (Gideon) Arnold; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Elliot (April) Henry, Gerald (Donna) Henry, Evelyn Moss, Doug (Cindy) Walsh; and many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Beverly and Blanche; siblings, Pearl, Ronnie, and June.
The family would like to thank Pat’s daughter-in-law, Tammie Swan for being a wonderful blessing in caring for “Aunt Pat” over the past year, all the staff on 3rd floor at Dartmouth General and Twin Oaks Palliative Care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Arimathea Funeral Cooperative. Due to COVID-19, a funeral service by invitation only for family remembering the life of Pat will be held in Marine Drive Pentecostal Church on Thursday, April 1st at 2 p.m. The service will also be streamed on the “Marine Drive Pentecostal Church” facebook page for those who are unable to attend. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Marine Drive Pentecostal Church or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.

– Herman Melville
