Norma Josiah Hay Silk 2021

Norma Josiah Hay of Coles Island, NB died peacefully at the Mill Cove Nursing Home
on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 89 years. Norma was born in Coles Island, NB on January 13, 1932,
daughter of the late Walter and Bessie (Phillips) Silk. Norma is survived by her sons, Daryl (Kathryn)
Hay and Douglas (Linda) Hay, both of Youngs Cove, NB; grandchildren, Erin (Shawn) LeBlanc,
Noah (Michelle) Hay, Lindsay (Elias) Hay and Jodi (Derek) Hay; great-grandchildren, Ace, Max,
Harper, Rome and Évah; sister, Betty (Bob) Stevens; sister-in-law, Sally (Leonard) Silk; many
nieces and nephews.
Predeceased in 1992 by her husband of 42 years, John Hay; brothers Emery (Erma), Cardiff
(Alexa), Leonard (Sally); sister Primrose (John) Lewis.
A private committal service for the immediate family will be held at the Coles Island Cemetery.
A very special thank-you to the staff of the Mill Cove Nursing Home for the wonderful care
provided to mom over the past several years.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mill Cove Nursing
Home Foundation, the Coles Island Cemetery or a charity of choice.
