Norma Jean Newbold-Jensen
It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Norma Jean Newbold-Jensen at Lindsay’s Ross Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 15, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Norma Jean showed great courage and strength during this time. She was the beloved wife of Steve Jensen, dear daughter of Therese and Frank, sister to Frank, Joe (Karen), Mitch (Donna), sister-in-law to Margaret (Tom), Rose (Theresa predeceased), nieces and nephews Elizabeth (Jeff), Danielle (Dave), Kristy (AJ), Kyle (Nicole), Janelle (Quaran), Dylan, Wesley, Masey (Micah) and Shay (Zack). Her treasured great nieces and nephews Kristine, Evelyn, Shyheim, Grayson, Eleanor, Adeline, Corinne, Riley, Finnley and Miriam. Norma Jean was a Residence Life Coordinator at the Lakehead University in Thunder Bay followed by several years at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Lindsay/Peterborough. She totally enjoyed helping the students throughout her career. A world traveler she was, having visited over 70 countries in her travels/lifetime. Norma Jean will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norma Jean can be made to Kathi’s K9s a dog rescue shelter in Florida kathisk9s.org/donate-online/.
