Noella Durepos
1934-2021
Following a brief illness, Noella Durepos of Dieppe, NB, passed away
at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on December 8, 2021.
Noella was born in Drummond, NB, on December 11, 1934. She was the
daughter of the late Fleurien and Annee (Langlais) Bonenfant. Noella
leaves behind her daughters, Paulette Durepos of Toronto, ON, Muriel
Thompson (Gary) of Riverview, NB; her son, Maurice Durepos (Anne) of
Moncton, NB; her daughter-in-law, Judy Durepos of Rowena, NB; six
grandchildren, Shawn (Rachel), Danielle (Kendall), Michel (Natalie),
Derick (Sarah), Patrick, and Stephanie (Sylvain) and five great
grandchildren, Jacob, Maddy, Carson, Abbie and Connor; her sisters,
Blanche Levesque of Edmundston, NB, Solange Coté of Peterborough,
ON, Gisèle Lindsay (Cecil) of Mississauga, ON, Irma Roberge
(Guildor) of St-André, NB; her brothers, Alcide Bonenfant of
Hamilton, ON, Armand Bonenfant (Gisèle) of Alexandria, ON,
René Bonenfant (Suzie) of Grand Falls, NB, and Richard Bonenfant
of Toronto, ON.
Noella was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Alphonse
Durepos; her infant daughter, Ginette Durepos; her son, Raymond
Durepos; and her brothers, Roland and Gilbert Bonenfant.
Noella could always be found with knitting needles in hand. She
volunteered countless hours knitting and crocheting various items for
charity. She took a lot of pride in the donations and money she was
able to raise for various causes including the hospital, the homeless
and the Canadian Mental Health Association. She was always looking for
ways to help others, and was recognized many times for her
contributions.
Noella was so incredibly proud of her grandchildren and great
grandchildren. She was happiest when she was able to spend time with
them, and loved to hear about their accomplishments.
A memorial service celebrating Noella’s life will be held on Monday,
December 13, 2021 at 11 am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic
Church. Father Gilbert Doddatto will celebrate. Interment will be in
the parish cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health
Association would be appreciated by the family.
All people aged 12 and up will be required to show their record of
immunization or medical exemption certificate and a government issued
identification to be able to attend. Masks are also mandatory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
