Family meant everything to mom and she always put us first. She was always there for us be it sporting events, school events, when babies arrived and to help in any way. She loved to cook for us and often measured our visits in the number of meals versus time, always wanting to serve us our favourites. She loved to laugh. Even when upset with us, she didn’t seem angry but moreover appealed to us to simply be better and consider the other person’s point of view. She taught us to be the best versions of ourselves that we could be by being a compassionate and caring role model. We know we will be better people in trying to live up to the example she has set. Mom’s love of sports stemmed from an early age when she and her sister would attend their older brothers’ sporting events. She always enjoyed watching the Blue Jays whether on television or going to the occasional game and she was hooked on the Raptors after attending a game with one of her children many years ago. She was so happy to see them win the NBA Championship. Once her children were older and she had the time, she decided to take up golf and she and dad enjoyed playing with family and friends. As a longtime member of the Port Colborne Bocce Club mom always enjoyed playing the game and the camaraderie.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the PSW’s of Bayshore and Paramed and the nurses, Mychalina and Trevor for all their care and support over the past two weeks.
