Obituary
Myrtle MacDougall
North Sydney
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle May MacDougall age 73, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, on Monday July 26, 2021 at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in West Point, Newfoundland on April 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Beatrice (Humby) Anderson. Myrtle was employed for many years with Sears as a customer service agent in North Sydney. But it was later in life when she found her true passion in stained glass work and her love of painting.
She is survived her loving daughter Karen (Rock) Ferland, Comox, BC, her sister Dulcie Eady, North Sydney, her four grandchildren Samuel, Jeremy, Jacob and Branden Ferland – love you to the moon and back! She is also survived by nieces and nephews and was especially close to Janice, Kimberley and Lawrence. She also had many friends who held a special place in her heart and were thought of as family, they are too numerous to mention but you know who you are.
Besides her parents, Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Edward “Eddie”, her son Stephen, and her brother-in-law Lyle Eady.
There will be no visitation by request. A graveside committal will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
