Murray Leighton Johnson of Kincardine passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 8th in his 81st year.
Murray leaves to mourn his wife Jean (née Geddes) of 58 years and sons Mark (Sheri) of Olds, Alberta and Jeff (Jackie) of Georgetown, Ontario.
Loving grandfather of his four granddaughters Abbey, Halley, Maggey and Faith.
Also survived by brothers Robert and Brian and sisters Margaret Hedley, Lillian Cottrill, Leigh Remington and Cathy Tang; sisters-in-law Geraldine Johnston and Marian Geddes.
He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Willard and Frances (née Brown), brother Donald and sister Anne.
Murray farmed most of his life on the Northline, Kincardine Township. He ran a dairy operation for 20 years and later raised registered Texas Longhorn cattle. Murray was always available to lend a helping hand and liked nothing better than sitting down and reminiscing.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations as expressions of sympathy can be made to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation or a charity of your choice and can be arranged on-line or by contacting the funeral home.
