CALDWELL, Muriel Elaine
After an extended illness, Muriel died peacefully at Huntsville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. She was 71 years old. Muriel (Gibson) was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Ian Caldwell. She was the loving mother of the late Wendy Caldwell, the late Gordon Caldwell-Ashford, Shannon Caldwell-Williams of Novar; step-mother of the late Christine Caldwell, and Lee Anne Caldwell of Edmonton. Muriel was the loving grandmother of Joy, Spencer, Samantha, Mikail, Kererra, Philip, Ian and great-granddaughter Briar. She was the dear sister of Ted Gibson of North Bay, Gary Langlois of Toronto, Brian Langlois of Temagami, Debbie Lalonde of North Bay, Dale Langlois of Nevada, Utah, and Chuck Langlois of Vancouver. Muriel was a cook at several Powassan area restaurants, and along with her husband Ian operated a farm in Chisholm, east of Powassan, for many years. A graveside service will be held at the spring interment at Boxwell Cemetery, Chisholm, in May of 2022. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
