Wilson, Morton Stanton Frank It
is with indescribable sadness that we announce the passing of Morton
Stanton Frank Wilson, age 82 of Wilsons’ Cove which occurred
December 28, 2021 in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital,
Sherbooke.
Beloved father, gramp, great-grampy, brother and friend. The
most selfless, kind hearted, hardworking, talented, loving man to ever
walk the earth; his passing leaves us all with a void that can never
be filled.
From teaching how to set rabbit snares, growing pumpkins,
singing the pumpkin song, secret jokes, jumping spiders and
instructing the “proper” way to mow the lawn, he left his
grandchildren with nothing but the fondest of memories. He always made
sure they knew how proud he was of all of them and how much he loved
them.
The birth of his great-grandson Ashton, in October, filled
him with immense pride, and he took every opportunity to tell anyone
he was a “Great-Grampy”!
The last couple of years he was very grateful to spend
valuable time with his nephew Billy Boutilier (Anne), “helping
him with his cottage with whom he held a special bond with. This made
him very happy.
Within him he possessed the strength of ten men, but also had
a gentle, feather light touch when it came to his girls and a
paintbrush.
Hands that once, effortlessly lifted pulpwood and boulders as
if they were cotton balls could instantly turn cushions to hug his
family and by the grace of God was able to cradle Ashton before
leaving us for the place where Angels on earth return
to.
He instilled in us all to be thankful for what we have, to
not want more than you need and share what you have when
possible.
If you were lucky enough to know Morton than you were truly
blessed. His life, love, stories and memory will forever live on in
those of us who held him most dear.
Morton is survived by his daughter, Amanda,
