Michael “Junie”‘s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Keating, fondly known to his family and friends as” Junie” or” Bugs” at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Thursday December 16th 2021 at the age of 66 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Dale, one daughter Rhea (Wade) Roberge in Stephenville, one granddaughter Taylor Roberge in Stephenville, his brothers Ricky ( Lisa) , Randy (Joanne) Joey(Jada), Gary(Janet),all in Stephenville Crossing, Roy in Barachois Brook, Jerry(Mandy) in Kippens, his two sisters Sherry(Rick), Marie (Gerry) both in New Brunswick and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Rita Keating, his son Mark and brothers Reg and Ray. Junie enjoyed hunting , fishing and the outdoors in general and was a Jack of all trades who helped many people over the years from carpentry to mechanics. He had a heart of gold and would help whoever he could. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place this coming summer. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest easy.
