Obituary of Melvina King
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, November 18, 2021, Melvina King of Carbonear, age 84 years.
Predeceased by husband: Eric; daughter-in-law: Printzlyne; parents: Clarence and Beatrice Clarke.
Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Lillian (Paul, deceased) Brien and Vida (Jim) Butt, both of Carbonear; four sons: Clarence (Arlene), Salmon Cove, Lester (Jeanette), Victoria, Ross (Stella), and Darryl (Wanda), both of Carbonear; twelve grandchildren: Denise (Bob), Deanne (Corey), Paul (Heidi), Christine, James (Justine), Kaitlyn, Christopher (Janice), Linda (Shane), Laura, Natasha (Joey), Justin (Jennifer), Lester (Mary); seventeen great-grandchildren: DJ, Matthew, Erica, Justin, Jackson, Logan, Lauren, Maggie, Mollie, Emerson, Eric, Jacob, Austin, Justine, Jayden, Janelle, and Payton; two brothers: Robert (Jean) Clarke, Stephenville and Lloyd (Ivy) Clarke, Carbonear; special friends and staff at Lane’s Retirement Living, Carbonear; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, November 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, November 21 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service on Sunday, November 21 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Perry’s Cove.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
