On October 4, 2021, Mr. Maverick Cardinal of Edmonton, formerly of Saddle Lake, passed away at the age of 30 years. He is survived by his daughter, Kayleigh Rae; mother of his child, Lacey Brertton; loving mother, Cynthia; siblings, Rhea (Matthew) Fraser, Jeremiah (Nina), Eartha, Summer, Sevina Cardinal-Heise & Seamus Cardinal-Heise; grandmother, Josephine; 3 nephews, Kobe, James & Nolan; niece, Nika. Maverick was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert; uncle Peter Pasquayak. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Pastor Linda Burns will be officiating with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake. Would like to send my deepest sympathy to family of my dear friend that I grew to admire very much Maverick was a very happy careing fun and loved to go out to see and do so much especially when it came time for hockey to just see the excitement he had to share as his long time companion I will shirly miss him and the family Maverick is gone but will never be forgotten he has a very special place in alot of peoples hearts
