Obituary for Maureen Gail Trafford
Maureen Gail Trafford of Hamilton passed away in her 74th year on March 19, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer. Maureen, daughter of the late Robert and Catherine Trafford is survived by sister Darlene, brother Bill, daughter Tammy Lynn Short, son Bobby Short and grandchildren Julian Prime, Robbie Short and Michelle Short. Maureen was predeceased by brother Bob and sister Diane.
Maureen battled cancer and dementia over the last 6 months with courage and determination. Family, and long-time friend Linda Napper played an important role in helping Maureen as best they could through this difficult time.
Maureen loved animals, especially her beloved dog Rascal. The family request that any donations be made to the local SPCA or any other animal support groups in Maureen’s name.
A celebration of Maureen’s life will be held in the near future.
