Obituary of Mary Walker Case
Case: Mary Walker (nee Kirkwood) –
A resident of Chatham, Mary Case passed away at the Riverview Gardens on September 11, 2021 at the age of 95.
Born in Edinborough Scotland, Mary was the daughter of the late Adam and Margaret (nee Henderson) Kirkwood.
Beloved wife of the late C.W. ‘Bill’ Case (2002).
Loving mother to Laurie (Art) Smith of London, Heather Case of London, and Bonnie Case of Toronto.
Grandmother to Casey Moorhead.
Sister to Barbara (Ernie) McAuley of Bright’s Grove.
Mary will be remembered for her caring and compassionate nature as a nurse in the hospital and through volunteering in palliative care. She was a devoted wife and supportive mother to all her children. She was a past president of the Nurses Alumni, member of the Maycourt Club, and a member of the Park St. United Church and later the First Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will take place at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., in Chatham on Wednesday September 15, 2021 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. A Service will be held at 1:00pm with Rev. Mike Maroney officiating and will be live streamed by clicking the following link: . The burial will occur at Maple Leaf Cemetery following the service.
