Obituary of Maryanne Mask
MASK, Maryanne Elizabeth – passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, with her family by her side, on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the age of 65 years.
Maryanne Mask (nee Behm) of Pembroke, beloved wife of Allen Mask. Loving mother of Allison McLaren (Angus) & Ryan Mask (Chantal). Cherished grandmother of Seth, Adrian, Darcie & Gisele; and Nicholas & Jonathan. Daughter of the late Edward & Ethel Behm (nee Nagora); and dear sister of Wayne Behm (Brenda) & Merrill Behm (Paulette). Sister-in-law of Ernie Mask (Carole) & Darlene Cordani (late Bruno). Maryanne is also survived by aunts Mary (late Henry) & Hattie (late Ernie) Nagora; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Maryanne grew up on a farm in Alice Township. She moved away from Pembroke for work with the federal government for a number of years. Returning to Pembroke, she worked at Algonquin College for 40 years in administration and enjoyed helping staff & students. Family was important to her and she was proud of her children’s accomplishments and the families they are raising. She was involved with her church family and as her faith life grew, attested to the power of God’s miracles in our lives. Maryanne enjoyed organizing and being part of projects for family, church and community.
Respecting Maryanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Memorial Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley; but the public is invited to share in this service online after Friday, April 9, 2021.
